Free Measure & Quote.Beautifully co-ordinated, unique soft furnishings and accessories can add a designer completed look to your new custom curtains and blinds to truly reflect your style. Amaru can create quality, affordable matching cushions and tiebacks at our Melbourne drapery workshop that perfectly bring your window furnishings together with the rest of your interior decor.
Choosing the right drapery fabric is essential for quality padded tiebacks and scatter cushions. Each fabric has its own unique characteristics and performance levels, so it’s important that you have chosen the best one for your needs and lifestyle.

To ensure a seamless and coordinated look for your home, Amaru can supply custom-made cushions in the same fabric as your curtains. Whether placed on a living-room couch or added to the pillows on a bed, matched curtains and cushions help to tie a whole room together perfectly.
Our consultants can help you to choose an appropriate shape and size for each custom throw cushion, as well as advise on how many will suit your application.

Custom soft furnishings such as cushions and tiebacks can be used in rooms all over the house to add personal flair to your indoor and alfresco spaces. Using them consistently across your home throughout formal and casual rooms in your home can help create a sense of continuity, cohesiveness and charm that won’t go unnoticed by visitors.

Both tiebacks and hold backs perform the same function of keeping your curtains open; albeit in a slightly different manner:
Curtain tiebacks are flexible and made of fabric, rope or cord; they wrap around each curtain panel and either attach to hooks on either side of the window or cinch the drapery panel in the middle of a window and hang freely. For decorative curtains that usually remain open, tiebacks are an excellent option.
Curtain hold backs are rigid and made of materials such as metal, iron, timber or glass. A holdback is curtain hardware that attaches to a wall and lets you secure the curtain behind it. For functional curtains that open and close frequently, holdbacks are practical and convenient as they require no effort to tie and untie.
Although hold backs can only be installed on either side of the window as they require a wall surface, tiebacks and curtain tassels can be used to tie a drape panel in the centre if this is the look you are going for.
Amaru have custom soft furnishings for sale in both Melbourne and Canberra. We have showrooms in both Melbourne and Canberra or you can book an in-home measure and quote for Melbourne Metro & Surrounds - including the Mornington Peninsula and Canberra & Surrounds.
Regularly ‘fluff’ your scatter cushions to remove surface dust, or use a damp soft, clean cloth to spot clean small marks. For a more thorough clean, unzip the cushion cover and refer to the custom cushion care label attached for the specific laundering instructions for the fabric type of your chosen soft furnishings.
