Energy saving is now both smart and beautiful. With our exclusive range of Thermacell cellular blinds, you can keep your home cool during summer and warm throughout winter, with the added bonus of helping to reduce your energy bills. Designed with a unique honeycomb structure, they trap air within the cell shaped fabric pockets, creating a layer of insulation between your windows and living space.
Our innovative honeycomb blinds are functional and provide a stylish, modern appearance that will suit any home or office. Choose from a wide range of fabrics, colours and opening combinations to ensure the perfect match with your existing décor.
Our Classic and Lux ranges are defined by their different head rails and control options. Classic Thermacell blinds represent the standard cellular honeycomb blind supplied in today’s market with colour matched head rails and standard cord lock control. Lux Thermacell blinds offer a stylish head rail system with many control options like monorise clutch, cordless, Ezilift motorised wand or add that bit of extra luxury with our motorised wireless remote control.
"I have just had the honeycomb blinds installed today. I am extremely happy with them. I have received very efficient service from the word go. I would definitely recommend this firm to anyone, and I am very fussy."
We also offer an extensive range of luxurious fabrics, from translucent to blockout, and even sheer, giving you all the options needed to satisfy your energy saving and décor needs. Toping our R-Value test results is City Lights double cell fabric, closely followed by our Metro Lucent and Eclipse ranges. Ask one of our experienced consultants for more information on R-Value test results.
R-value is used to measure the thermal resistance of a material giving us a way to test how temperature flows through a given material. In building and construction, R-value represents a rating system on thermal performance which indicates how well a building is insulated. Typically in Australia we insulate our roof, floors and walls and often overlookour windows where up to 25% of our heating and cooling is lost.
If you want to increase the R-value (insulation) of your windows then Energy Window Fashions Thermacell cellular blinds offer the best and most cost effective solution over any other window covering on the market today. Book a free in-home consultation with one of our experiences and professional team and ask to view our R-value reports as well as our extensive range of fabrics and colours.
Test results have been conducted by the textile research institute and variations can occur between colours.

"We just had Thermacell blinds installed by Amaru & cannot thank them enough. The sleek, minimalist fashionable blinds look delicate yet are very durable, complimentary & are energy efficient. The professional manner in which the entire process was handled was hands down the best I have every experienced, right from the initial email I sent requesting their free measure & quote to the quote it's self, followed by the installation of the blinds, not only do the blinds looks spectacular (big call) but there really isn't any other way of describing how they look nor the quality of the blinds & I must mention the entire process was so speedy, I never even had to make a follow up call. On ending, apart from not having a single concern the entire staff from Granville who is the reason why I opted for Amaru above the other quotes, to Nicole & Sarah to, the owner himself, John who installed the blinds & was such a pleasure, have to be commended on their knowledge, professionalism & to me most importantly friendly manner."
In short, the answer is yes. They are often referred to as honeycomb blinds because the shape of the air pockets resembles honeycomb. Our Thermacell range, however, is completely unique to Amaru.
We can custom make up to 3000mm wide by 3000mm drop so most windows can be covered with a single blind, larger windows can be covered by butting the blinds together with the minimalist of gaps.
More reasonably priced than most people expect and comparative to many roller blind ranges. The great thing about Thermacell is the return they also give you by helping save on your energy bill

Gently vacuum as required using the brush head attachment only.
In a small container or bowl, mix a small amount of mild detergent (make sure it does not include bleach) with warm water.
Using a non-abrasive cloth, like microfiber, carefully blot the affected area until the stain is removed. DO NOT SCRUB FABRIC.
Although very rare, there has been occasions where some people have experienced insects going into the cell pockets or children pushing things into them.
If this happens, grab your hair dryer, set it to the cool high speed setting and simply blow it out the other side.
